LC/APC Simplex OS1/OS2 Single Mode Field Assembly Mechanical Connector

The LC APC fiber optic connector is a single mode 9/125μm OS1/OS2 simplex fiber connector, compatible with 250µm and 900µm optical fibers, and 0.9mm, 2mm, and 3mm cordage. Each connector with separate boot kits is available for 0.9 and 2.0mm diameter style cables and the length fixing device is to ensure stripping fiber in the right range.
The field-installable connector is a factory pre-polished connector that eliminates the need for hand polishing in the field. Proven mechanical splice technology ensuring precision fiber alignment, a factory pre-cleaved fiber stub, and a proprietary index-matching gel combine to offer an immediate low-loss termination. Each connector is color-coded per industry-standard requirements to aid in identification during and after installation. It provides an ideal solution for optical cabling inside buildings and floors for LAN & CCTV applications and with the expansion of FTTH.
Please note that 0.9mm, 2.0mm, and 3.0mm diameter are for the same usage. If 0.9mm or 2.0mm is needed, just install the corresponding black boot kit.

Operating Instructions

Insert the fiber into the boot and strip off 25.4-27.4mm strengthened layer

Put the cable into the length fixing device and strip the 250um fiber

Clean and check the fiber, reserve the bare fiber to 10-12mm

Insert the fiber into connector body through the fiber guide and stop when it bends

Lock the fiber and tighten the boot to make it aramid into the thread

Complete assembly and press the connector clip to remove the dust cap for use
