Only thing I can really say about this thing is wow!!!! speedy little thing and it will reprogram not just transceivers but also DAC, and many others, handles so much that I won’t need to buy another one for a long long time to come

Fantastic device! Does exactly what it is supposed to do. A useful tool for any network administrator or technician to have in their toolbox. Like the colors too.

So far so good. I have had the FS Box v4 a little over a couple of weeks now and it has been working as advertised. I primarily got it to re-encode a transceiver I purchased, that was not working properly (link was flapping incessantly) with the hardware/NIC I had inserted it into. FS Support worked with me to ID the correct encoding for the transceiver and I used to FS BOX to upload the correct firmware/encoding to the transceiver. Now the link is running stable and I have a FS BOX to re-encode transceivers as needed in the future!

It is a little worrisome that their MAC OS drivers are not signed and validated (which is why this isn't a 5 start review), but I took the leap and installed them so I could use the FS BOX via my Macbook to do the encoding. The WEB interface you use to program the transceivers is fairly intuitive, and fairly simple to navigate.
